Troy Borough Council has two positions to fill on Council. Any Borough residents that are interested are encouraged to submit a letter of interest to Troy Borough, 49 Elmira St, Troy, PA 16947. You can also email your letter of interest to admin@troyborough.com. Letters should be received by July 24th, 2025 for review.

Reminder regarding the LAWN ordinance:
§ 10-101. Grass, Weeds and Certain Other Vegetation Unlawful and a Nuisance under Certain Conditions.
No person owning or occupying any property within the Borough shall permit any grass or weeds or any vegetation whatsoever, not edible or planted for some useful or ornamental purpose, to grow or remain upon such premises so as to exceed a height of 6 inches or to throw off any unpleasant or noxious odor or to conceal any filthy deposit or to create or produce pollen. Any grass, weeds or other vegetation growing upon any premises in the Borough in violation of any of the provisions of this section is hereby declared to be a nuisance and detrimental to the health, safety, cleanliness and comfort of the inhabitants of the Borough. Grass and weeds shall not exceed a height of 3 inches on unpaved footpaths bordering paved streets and commonly used in lieu of sidewalks which have not been constructed; provided, in the case of any tract of undeveloped land, this section shall not apply to grass, weeds or vegetation growing more than 150 feet from any residence; provided, further, this section shall not apply to any forested land.

Effective 01/27/2020, no utility payments will be accepted in the office. Payments can be placed in the white utility payment box outside the front office door, mailed to the office, or be made online.
Anyone needing permits or appointments for any other purpose should call the office to make an appointment at 570-297-2966.

TROY BOROUGH WILL BE UNABLE TO HOLD SPRING OR FALL CLEANUP. THERE WILL BE NO PICKUP OF BAGGED LEAVES, BRANCHES, OR CHRISTMAS TREES AS WE HAVE NO PERMITTED DISPOSAL SITE.
WE ARE ALSO UNABLE TO ALLOW PERSONAL DUMPING OF THESE ITEMS BY ANYONE FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE SITE IS CLOSED. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR ADMITTANCE.
